Job Desription of a Mentor

 

Position Summary

The mentor serves as a role model, friend and advocate to a corpsmember for at least 18 months.

Mentor Day is December 22nd, 2008 and begins at 2:00 pm.

Platoon 1 and 2 mentors will sign in at the Counseling Classroom.  Platoon 3 and 4 will sign in at the Dining Facility Annex.  Their cadets will meet them there and take them to meet with the cadre, teachers, and counselor as time permits.

Post Residential Staff

POST-RESIDENTIAL DEPARTMENT

 

The Post Residential Department exists to assist the cadets and mentors with training and support during the seventeen and one half months of the entire program.  They are the ones responsible for receiving the monthly reports and tracking the success of our students.  Contact them for all your mentoring questions.

 For All Potential Mentors of Cadets

 Thank you for your interest in mentoring a cadet at Fort Gordon Youth ChalleNGe Academy.  The following information will help clarify our expectations of mentors and help you determine whether this is something to which you are willing to commit.

The following are mentor requirements that must be met for your cadet to remain enrolled in Youth ChalleNGe and graduate.
