How can I help TYA?

Help Us Spread the Word

  • Contact elected officials in your area
  • Email our brochure to family, friends, coworkers
  • Tell everyone you know about your TYA Story…how you found out about TYA, why your youth decided to attend, what was their experience like, how are they doing since graduation.
  • Talk about TYA and hand out brochures at your next civic organization meeting
  • Tell your church and bible study groups about us
  • Write an editorial to your local newspaper

Collection Programs

Here are several new ways to help support TYA through the following fundraising programs:

  • Best Choice Save-A-Label - Just save the UPC labels from Best Choice products…It’s that EASY! Be sure to get the UPC portion (proof of purchase) of the label. Every 1,000 labels collected is worth $30 in cash for TYA. There are more than 1200 Best Choice items throughout Reasor’s to choose from.     locate where to buy Best Choice products
     
  • Tyson Project A+ - Collect the Project A+™ labels from boxes and bags of Tyson products. Every 100 labels redeemed is worth $24 for TYA.   view eligible Tyson products
     
  • Campbell's Labels for Education - Collect UPC labels and beverage caps for redemption points. Product points can then be redeemed for items listed in the Labels for Education merchandise catalogue. Values are one point or 5 points for specially marked Campbell’s® products through 6/1/09 as listed:                   view eligible Campbell's products

How do I get collected labels to TYA?  Put labels in an envelope marked:  ATTN: Mrs. Culver — Label Collection

  • Drop them off at TYA's main office or any staff member
  • Send labels back with your cadet from pass
  • Mail them to TYA in a properly marked envelope

So start saving those UPC labels and proofs of purchases now!

Monetary Donations

Thunderbird Challenge Inc (TCI) is a non-profit 501c3 organization that supports the Oklahoma Youth Programs by providing:

  • Scholarships
  • Classbook
  • Items not supported by budget (such as merit rewards)
  • Special training seminars
  • Guest speaker fees

To donate make checks/money orders payable to Thunderbird Challenge Inc (TCI) and add "Alpha Co Support" to the check description. Mail donations to:

Basic Scientific Calculators – must be solar operated, an official calculator for use on the GED series mathematics test and permitted on the SAT test.
