The mission of the Washington Youth Academy is to provide a highly disciplined, safe, and professional learning environment that empowers at-risk youth to improve their educational level and employment potential and become responsible and productive citizens of the State of Washington.

How to apply

Instructions for filling out the Washington Youth Academy Application:

  • Please complete Forms 1 – 5, leaving no questions blank, and submit only those forms.
     
  • The checklist provides deadlines by which certain documents must be provided to WYA admissions staff.
     
  • WYA admissions staff will review your application and contact you within 48 hours of receiving your forms.
     
  • If your application makes the first "cut" for acceptance – you, your parent/guardian(s), and your Mentor Nominee will be invited to attend a mandatory Orientation at least two weeks prior to the class start date.
     
  • Get an application.
