FAQ

How do I prepare to be a Cadet at the Academy?
First, if you are a smoker, quit now. The first week of the Residential Phase is much more difficult if you are going through withdrawal. Also, physical preparation is an important part to preparing for the Academy. Physical Training will be much easier if you begin to train and condition your body now.

Can I call my family and friends while I'm at the Academy?
Cadets are awarded one 10-minute phone call on Sunday nights starting the third week of the Residential Phase. Senior Cadets are allowed 20 minutes. Phone calls for emergencies or career planning are allowed at the Cadre's discretion.

Can the Cadets write or receive mail?
Cadets are given the privilege of writing as many letters as they want, as long as letter writing is done during scheduled or free time and does not take precedence over school.  They can also receive letters.  No "care packages" will be allowed.

Once I've graduated, what do I do?
As a graduated Cadet, you use your gained knowledge and skills to continue to progress into higher level education (Technical School, Community College, Four-year University), full-time employment, or the military (Active, Reserve, National Guard). A plan may consist of a combination of two or even three of the aforementioned options.
