ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 

Eligibility and Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years old, but not yet 19
Must be a high school dropout
Must be a citizen or legal resident of the State of Georgia
Must be unemployed or underemployed
Must be free of illegal drugs.
Must be free from involvement in the legal and court system.

Requirements for Acceptance:

Submit completed application with required documents.
Complete the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) and submit scores.
Be chosen by the State Selection Committee.
Attend a one-day orientation program.
Must be medically fit.
Upon arrival at the Academy, must successfully complete drug screening.
Must Volunteer.

GEORGIA STATE ID card, driver's license or learner's permit issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles, military ID card or passport to be allowed to take the GED tests. 

Must have a volunteer mentor from home community!
