YCA Graduate Injured in Iraq

12, September 2005

We have received word today of the injury received in Iraq by a graduate of this campus who has been in the U.S Army for several years, Donald (Trey) Teel III. Trey graduated in June 1998 and was in Alpha 4 with Team Leader LT. Davis and Sergeants (at the time) Bryant. Nelson, Sanchez, and Williams. Trey was also our Distinguished Honor Graduate for Class X.

Trey was wounded in a roadside explosion as his Humvee passed by. As a gunner, he suffered second-degree burns on his arms and face. He has been evacuated to a U.S army hospital in Germany for teatment.

The family is holding up well under these very trying circumstances. Remember the Teel family, and all of our other uniformed men and women, in your thoughts and prayers.
