The Good Neighboring Korean Day
The Korean Day program began in the spring of 2001 at the Youth Academy at Fort Stewart, Georgia. It is now expanding to other Youth ChalleNGe academies, schools and organizations.
The Good Neighboring Korean Day is a program to help cadets and high school students gain knowledge and insight into the Korean culture and its history, along with an understanding of the competitiveness of the Korean people and also learning the background information on this small country's success story.

Sonny Park speaks with the cadets during the progam. (Park) a native of South Korea, immigrated to the U.S. in 1974 with no more than $200 in his pocket, he said. Having little to no money, no job and speaking broken english, didn't stop him from achieving his goal of living the American dream.
