On May 21, 2007 BCA graduate John Moriarity received the Kentucky Adult Education Award for the highest GED score in the state for the year of 2006. He was accompanied by Adjutant General for the Commonwealth of Kentucky General Donald Storm, BG Julius Berthold the Executive Director, Office of Management and Administration, Department of Military Affairs, ChalleNGe Director Col. (R) John W. Smith, and ChalleNGe Lead Instructor Troy Hampton.
Mr. Moriarity was given the opportunity to address the Council on Post-Secondary Education on the value of his participation in Class 14, which was followed by a standing ovation. General Storm then followed by petitioning the Council to assist us in any way they can, to have access to Kentucky's district drop-out lists held by the Directors of Pupil Personnel from each of the states school districts. The Council on Post-Secondary Education and Kentucky Adult Education have been long time partners and supporters of the Challenge mission providing vital state funding.
